English Side Table with Iron Base, circa 1895
About the Item
Comprised of a fruitwood top and iron base, this stunning side table features a refinished, beveled top secured to a tripod base with a lower pierced tier. The three cabriole legs terminate in paw feet. Britain's classic icon known as Britannia, wearing a helmet and holding her traditional shield, is depicted on the knees of the table. Three lion heads adorn the apron between the pierced legs.
