Exceptional Georgian 18th Century Gilt Side Table for Restoration

About the Item

A rare and extraordinary Period Georgian Gilt Wood Side Table with raised design in original condition. A plank constructed top with embossed foliate scrolls and interlaced motifs. The center with a double acanthus leaf and scroll motif. The shaped front and side friezes with embossed foliate scrolls, and a plain shaped back. Raised on tall curved legs with acanthus leaf knees and stylized hoof feet. Restoration recommended. Dimensions: L. 29 3/4", Depth 19 1/2", H. 30 1/2" Condition: Please see detail photos. Restoration recommended Various signs of age include stable age cracks along the planks on the top, gilt and plaster losses, the table is timeworn with the red sizing revealed by the wear to the gilt. There are chips to the knees and other sporadic finish losses to the legs and three feet.
