Fine 19th C. Figured Mahogany Planter Stand

About the Item

A rarely seen planter stand, finely made with particularly handsome graining. Louis XVI style with a shaped book matched figured frieze. The raised top with brass rope motif border, floral mounts on all sides, and lid with twin handles. No lining in the planter itself. Raised on tall curved legs with brass sabots. W. 25 3/4", Depth 15", H. 32 3/4" Condition: Please see all detail photos. There are some expected stable cracks to the curved top edge, an older ring mark to the top lid, slight scratches on the frieze and tarnished brass which do not detract from the fine presentation.
