Fine Antique English Geo. III Figured Mahog. Sheraton Style 2-Drawer Side Table
About the Item
A splendid Antique English period Geo. III figured mahogany Bowfronted Two-Drawer Side Table or Small Writing Table with handsome hand-carved "French Gadroon" edge motif on handsome round, turned and tapered legs. The brass drop ring pulls are antique but may have been replaced at some point in the table's life as evidenced by the hole in the back of the drawer (but please note the early circular nut). The top of the table has a handsome highly figured mahogany. The drawer linings appear to be "English Deal" (or Pine). This table is the perfect size for just about anyplace and is in superb, age-appropriate condition with only the slightest of surface blemishes mentioned purely for condition accuracy.
