French 1870s Black Leather Top Louis XV Style Side Table with Cabriole Legs
About the Item
A French embossed leather top Louis XV style side table with single drawer, cabriole legs and ormolu mounts from the second half of the 19th century. This French side table features a rectangular top with inset black leather, showing the traces of its embossed décor on the surround. The apron is scalloped on all sides, comprises a single drawer, opening thanks to a simple brass ring pull. The table is raised on four slender cabriole legs, whose curvy lines balance the linearity of the upper section beautifully. The feet are delicately accented by ormolu mounts. With its elegant Silhouette and warm patina, this French Louis XV style side table circa 1870 will bring a distinguished touch to any home, perhaps placed in a living room, bedroom or hallway.
