French 18th Century Louis XVI Period Side Table, with Adjustable Top Tier
About the Item
A very high quality French 18th century Louis XVI period mahogany side table, with an adjustable top tier, signed JF Dubut & JME. The table is raised by an elegant 's' scroll shaped tripod support with a thin moulded ormolu plate at the bottom of each leg. At the center is the triangular shaped base with concave sides below the central stem including an ormolu pull at the top. Above is the attractive octagonal shaped tier surrounded by an ormolu pierced gallery. The smaller scale adjustable top tier is finished the same. Exceptional quality mahogany and gilding.
