About the Item
A charming French 19th century Louis XVI st. Kingwood and Ormolu side table, attributed to Durand. The oblong shaped three tiered table is raised by elegant topie shaped tapered legs with lovely ormolu foliate sabots. The bottom tier is enclosed at each side by most decorative curved panels with a fine quarter veneered panel. Four supports lead upwards centering the middle tier and decorated with richly chased pierced ormolu mounts. The top displays a beautifully inlaid foliate marquetry design set on a quarter veneered background and framed within a raised border.
