About the Item
A stunning and finely detailed French 19th century Transitional st. Moucheté Mahogany, Ormolu and Brocatelle d'Espagne marble side table, attributed to Francois Linke. This beautiful kidney shaped side table is raised by four cabriole Mahogany legs accented with an Ormolu berried foliate spine and paw feet. The four legs are connected by a kidney shaped display shelf with a fine Ormolu gallery. Extending up to the top are four square fluted columns decorated with Ormolu foliate chandelles. The front apron is designed with an Ormolu mottled bottom edge, a recessed rectangular drawer above with mottled Ormolu edges, and flanked on either side by Ormolu tied flowing ribbons and garments hanging below. The wonderful Brocatelle d'Espagne marble top is decorated by a pierced Ormolu gallery with heart shaped designs and an open front.
