Fine low Art Déco Side Table. France 1920s.
Octagonal heavy overlaying Portoro Marble top.
The marble is of exquisite high quality, beautiful veining.
The manufacture of the frame allows the marble top to rest firmly on it.
Black lacquered iron frame, also solid quality.
The low height and the rare octagonal shape give the table a very elegant appearance.
The frame is rather discreet and not so prominent so that the beautiful Portoro marble top draws all eyes to it.
In addition, the side edges of the marble have probably been dyed reddish.
