Production Process
Warm Black frame:
Made of high strength steel, the parts are CNC bent and welded in position. The frame is then sanded and powder coated with black rubber gliders added to the top frame.
Marble Top:
The marble is cut to size and polished to a satin finish. The edges are ground and polished with the hole drilled in position.

Designer
Sebastian Herkner
German designer Sebastian Herkner transposes contemporary objects into cultural artefacts and vice versa, channelling his appreciation of authentic materials and artisan skills combined with modern technology. After graduating from the University of Art and Design in Offenbach, Herkner’s apprenticeship with Stella McCartney in London triggered his fascination with form, structure, texture, material and effects, evident in all of his work, including even the smallest of details.
Herkner's Sillon, part of the &Tradition collection, are a series of circular and rectangular mirrors in varying sizes inspired by the designs of French Art Deco.

The bell table by Sebastian Herkner turns our perceptual habits on their head, using the lightweight, fragile material of glass as base for a metal top that seems to float above it. Hand blown in the traditional manner using a wooden mold, the transparent tinted glass base asserts a sculptural presence in space, contrasting intriguingly with the solid brass frame on top while also forming with it a harmonious unit recalling the elegant curving Silhouette of a bell. With its appealing reflective surfaces and contrasting materials, the side table adds a distinctive touch to domestic interiors. It celebrates the beauty of the materials with their colors and surfaces, along with the virtues of hand-craftsmanship. The bell table by Sebastian Herkner is a masterwork of traditional hand craftsmanship. Each table is handmade, meaning that small bubbles or bumps in the glass are a characteristic feature.
