A beautiful Italian gold gilt metal Sheaf of Wheat end, side or drinks table, Hollywood Regency style, circa mid-20th century or earlier, Italy. Piece has gold gilt metal 'Sheaf-of-Wheat' base, finished with a round glass top. Table is aka the 'Coco table'. A beautiful, collectable table made famous/iconic because of its relation to fashion designer and businesswoman Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel; Coco Chanel had a similar piece in her Vendôme apartment in the Ritz Hotel, Paris. Other important designers such as Yves Saint Laurant and Karl Lagerfeld have also used table in their interiors. A special side/end or drinks table in a convenient size.
