About the Item

A striking and most elegant Italian turn of the century Florentine st. giltwood and pietra dura marble side table. The circular inlaid tilt top side table is raised by three elegantly curved legs with fine scrolled feet and charming palmette designs. The circular turned central support displays a lightly curved socle shaped base with a most decorative spiral reeded ball and mottled band. Above is the original fitted pietra dura marble top depicting charming finely detailed birds playing amidst a stunning array of inlaid flowers and leaves in semi precious stones including beautiful Lapis Lazuli floral accents all set on a black Belgian marble background. The top is unlatched by its original hardware and tilts up via its original hinge.
