Italian Turn of the Century Louis XVI St. Giltwood and Marble Side Table
About the Item
A most elegant Italian turn of the century Louis XVI St. giltwood and Rose Phocéen marble side table. The circular table is raised by fine slender circular tapered fluted legs with lovely topie shaped feet and striking carved fletching’s above. Each leg is connected by a most decorative 'X' shaped stretcher at the block rosette reserves with a mottled beaded border and central foliate finial. Above each leg are finely detailed rosettes flanking the fluted mottled apron. Above is the original Rose Phocéen marble top fitted within a twisted ribbon wrap around border.
