About the Item
Japanese antique low display stand manufactured circa 1880s - 1910s (Mid to late Meiji period), estimate from the style, technique & conditions. Finished with traditional black Urushi lacquer.
Top panel is made of single solid wood panel, while the side panels are made of wood veneers with grains (2 layers, not plywood).
Wood veneer technique was began to use around Meiji period in Japan, I estimate the period from this wood veneer panels.
Can be used as a low side table, as well as a bench.
In addition, wider low display stand from the same place (51.06 inches in width, depth & height are same as this piece) will be uploaded soon in my listings.
