About the Item
This is an old Japanese low table dating from the early Showa period (1900s–1940s), discovered in an old farmhouse.
Designed in a separate two-part structure, it is both practical and aesthetically refined—a beautiful balance of function and form.
Both the top and legs are made of sugi (Japanese cedar).
The tabletop is a single solid plank, displaying gentle, flowing wood grain that has matured beautifully over time.
The traces of handwork—tool marks, surface wear, and small scratches—add depth and individuality, revealing the passage of time and the craftsmanship of its maker.
The low, sturdy legs provide excellent stability, securely supporting the thick tabletop while remaining lightweight and easy to move or store.
This practical and thoughtful construction reflects the ingenuity of traditional Japanese living.
It can be used not only as a low table, but also as a sofa table or display stand.
Its simple, unadorned form harmonizes effortlessly with any interior style, lending a quiet presence and natural warmth to the space.
Its calm, enduring beauty embodies the spirit of wabi-sabi—acceptance of time, imperfection, and transience.
Through its material, form, and age, this piece expresses the uniquely Japanese sense of beauty that finds harmony in simplicity.

Our Philosophy
Objects always tell the truth.
All I can do is just to face with them sincerely and give
them deep affection as much as I can.
There is no boundary of nationalities and of eras in beauty.
But I think now is the time we choose 'Japanese style' and it
will be the best way to remind us of what we are losing
today and to question us about an essence of beauty again.
I hope that you can touch the memories which the objects here have,
feel and think of something invisible but exists undoubtedly.
