About the Item
“Ollain” is the latest collection of Tellurico, only available online. The first part of the series was launched in November 2020 and is composed of three sides tables: S, M, and L.
The object is part of a larger research that Tellurico Design Studio has been developing for a few years, which is about how to apply traditional crafts in contemporary design. In particular, the "L-Side Table" was created by re-proposing the ancient technique of ''Stucco'' where levels on levels of S.C.M. (Special Composite Material) are applied on a primary volume, to create a solid and functional object.
Handcrafted by Tellurico throughout the re-interpretation of the Italian craft called ''Stucco''. The "L-Side Table" has a contemporary design aesthetic ideal for a contemporary design house. The main material that the "L-Side Table" is composed of is S.C.M., a unique material developed within Tellurico Laboratory. It is a composition of recycled processing waste, binding, and pigment.
The "L-Side Table" follows under the umbrella of the so-called ''Functional Sculpture'' a limited-edition iconic object which performs a precise function.
This piece is fully customisable in form, function, and colour. Based on this design different pieces can be developed accordingly to the client's request.

Tellurico
Tellurico is a multidisciplinary design studio specialised in objects, spaces and installations design, founded in 2017 by Francesco Pace. Tellurico's practice is mainly focused on pushing forward the boundary between art and design, using the combination of contemporary aesthetics with traditional craftsmanship. All the products presented on 1stDibs are limited editions or one-offs and they are the result of cutting-edge experimentation blended with high-end materials. n 2020 Tellurico has been nominated by Platform Magazine among the Best Italian Designers. In 2021 Tellurico won the prestigious Officine Saffi Awards with his project Telluride and in 2022 has been listed among the Next Pure Talent of 2022 by Elle Decor. So far, Tellurico’s works have been presented in many international venues such as the Biennale of Design in Venice, Van AbbeMuseum in Eindhoven, M.A.D.RE. in Naples, Triennale di Milano, Emma Scully Gallery in New York, Brohan Museum in Berlin, Dutch Design Week Beirut Design Fair, Italian Pavilion in Barcelona, Zoya Gallery in Bratislava and others. He receives commissions, both from private clients as well as international galleries, working closely with them. The Tellurico Design Studio is currently based in the Netherlands.
