About the Item

Mocca leather, walnut wood and white Carrara marble deck table by OxDenmarq Dimensions: D 57 x W 57 x H 67 cm Materials: Steel, white Carrara marble, leather, walnut wood Also available: Different tray conbinations available OX DENMARQ is a Danish design brand aspiring to make beautiful handmade furniture, accessories and lighting in natural high-quality materials in fair prices. " When we set out back in 2003, we were primarily working with vegetable-tanned saddle leather thus the name OX was a tribute to our unique leather and the animal providing it. The other half of our name, DENMARQ, is chosen to emphasize that we are a Danish design brand based on the Danish design tradition and that most of our furniture is produced in Denmark. However, DENMARQ not only refers to our home country, but also to the co-founder and designer - DENnis MARQuart. Before finishing his design studies at the Copenhagen Design University, Dennis Marquart did a Blacksmith education. This background is extremely useful when developing and designing products." OX DENMARQ handmade products will only get more beautiful as time passes and natural patina sets in. Many OX products are shaped around marble or vegetable-tanned saddle leather. Stone and leather are materials that will, and should, get marks over time. But they will also age with a very special beauty. When you learn to appreciate the beauty of maturity and of time passing, you have learned to appreciate patina the way it should be appreciated.

Acerbis Small Moodboard Coffee Table in White Marble & Dark Stained Walnut Top
By Acerbis, Massimo Mariani
Located in Brooklyn, NY
A system of small tables with a top made by freely combining different contrasting materials: wood, marble, shiny metals, giving life to a mosaic of materials differing by type, color nuances, texture and thickness. Rectangular or square, the tables can also be freely combined with each other to form large coffee tables with an ever-changing material and graphic effect. A polished metal tray, the thickness of which is designed to match perfectly with the different thicknesses of the table tops, can be added as a valet or utility tray. Dark matte grey painted support structure and feet. Table shipped disassembled. Finishes: - Wood tops, thickness 30 mm, Swamp Oak or Swamp Ash - Marble tops, thickness 15 mm, white arabesque or grey graphite, matte finish - Tray, thickness 15 mm, in polished steel or brass (*) Swamp oak and Swamp ash Special veneer identified as a ''fossil'' since obtained from trunks found below ground, where they have been preserved under layers of clay for hundreds of years. The anaerobic environment inhibited the growth of microorganisms preventing the inexorable process of slow decay. On the contrary, over time the internal elements are transformed and others have been added: the mineral salts are combined with those present in the wood matrix, slowly transforming the organic state. This long natural process, which cannot be replicated, gives the wood a unique, precious appearance, with surprising colors and textures. The aging of the wood can also cause the formation of cracks and splits which are puttied and repaired but not eliminated during processing, because they are the signs of time that provide evidence of the great age and uniqueess of the material. Born in Florence, Massimo Mariani lives and works in London. He studied architecture with Giancarlo De Carlo at the University of Genoa. After graduation he joined Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Genoa and later Herman Hertzberger...
