About the Item
Delicate Empire side table from the early 19th century, veneered in mahogany and featuring a single drawer. The gracefully curved C-shaped legs end in brass sabots and are joined by a rectangular stretcher trimmed with brass profiles.
The oval tabletop is adorned at the leg junctions with stylized acanthus appliqués and encircled by a finely pierced, low brass gallery rail—a later, stylistically appropriate addition. Expertly restored and hand-polished, this refined table is a charming example of early Empire elegance.
