Pair of 19th Century French Walnut Bedsides

About the Item

Pair of 19th century walnut bedside tables from France. The tops are made from gorgeously veined marble. The tops have a beveled and scalloped edges. The shape is lovely and adds a lot of design interest to the pieces. The sides are grain-matched to have diamond patterns with scalloped and molded aprons. The front of the case has a single drawer over a single door, all with matched graining to emphasize the beauty of the wood. The single drawer has a molded band around the edges and the single door has the same matched graining to form a diamond with an applied molded border. The tables are supported on hand turned cabriole legs with hand carved accents of leaves and scrolls, and terminate in padded scroll feet. This is a wonderful pair of bedside cabinets and they still retain the original porcelain lines inside the doors.
