About the Item
A pair of bench made steel fan tables in the manner of the French Constructivist Architect Pierre Chareau. His extraordinary design work from the 1920s and 30s, which often utilized ordinary construction materials such as steel, glass, and concrete, is exceedingly rare in the United States. These reproductions, with fully adjustable blades, were built by an architecture and design student at Pratt in the late 1990s in homage to Chareau's pioneering use of industrial materials for furniture design.
