Pair of Louis XV Style Ormolu Mounted Marquetry and Parquetry Side Tables
About the Item
Featuring marquetry, parquetry, and gilt-bronze decoration, these intricate and elaborate side tables are crafted in stunning Rococo and Louis XV fashion.
This pair of Louis XV style side tables are decorated with a trio of techniques to form a delightful accompaniment to any interior space. Each piece is fitted with a drawer, and a sliding writing panel which is leather topped. The top surface is inlaid with a simple but elegant marquetry floral motif, and the sides are decorated with a regularly-patterned parquetry frieze. The tables are set upon four cabriole legs, which are joined by a smaller rectangular shelf, which is also inlaid with the same parquetry motif.
