About the Item
A Pair of Vintage Industrial Side Tables
This striking side table features a reclaimed wooden top that has been waxed and polished for a high-end finish. The top is set on an original 1930s cast iron frame with an original Singer treadle and flywheel, making it a quirky and unique item not to be found in the shops! It is wonderfully compact and fits almost anywhere!
This table showcases an important piece of British history. The cast iron stand was manufactured in Clydebank, Scotland's Singer sewing machine factory. This factory is said to have produced over 36 million sewing machines.
The frame is extremely sturdy, unlike modern furniture. It is suitable for multiple purposes, including a writing desk, side table, phone table, plant stand, hall table, etc.
The price is for a pair. The plant is for demonstration purposes only.
