Philippe Starck Miss Balu Table for Kartell

$10Asking Price

About

SOLD JUNE 2012 Philippe Starck, known for his whimsical forms and his major influence on late 20th century design, designed this table, Miss Balu, in 1989 for Kartell. His modern designs are unmistakable - saucy amoebic minimalism with a twist. Miss Balù is a modern interpretation of the quintessential 1800's table with central leg supports. This small scale round table with an added wide beveled black mirror top is ideal as dressing table or as a desk in the entry hall or great side or ocassional table. Made of fiberglass reinforced polypropylene, it is suitable indoors or out. This table does have some scratching on one side of the lower center leg made very visible by the camera flash. While there, it is quite subtle in normal lighting.
