Marvelous vintage Postmodern end or side table comprised of a black lacquered pedestal base with beveled edges & gold base trim and a rounded square shaped top with gold trim edges and mirror surface. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. No outstanding flaws seen but there are a couple small dots on the mirrored top where the silvering is missing along with some scratches, and a few scuffs in the black paint. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Late 20th Century.
Mirror, Mirror on the…. End Table?? That’s right folks! It doesn’t get any more 1980’s than this little gem!!! Only the coolest houses had furniture with mirror tops when I was a kid!!! (Insert age disclaimer! ha-ha!) This is an incredible vintage end or side table presenting a black lacquered pedestal base with beveled corners, a thin gold trim strip surrounding the base, and a square-ish (not quite squircle) tabletop with rounded corners also surrounded with gold trim and featuring a fabulous mirror surface top! I mean, what an undeniable furniture staple of the eighties!!! And still awesome today bursting with its Postmodern style and a little Retro flair, it is sure to be your new favorite vintage piece!! It will be marvelous in your family room aside a chair adorned with books and a couple of candles, in a bedroom hosting a lovely houseplant or wonderful table lamp, or in a hall exhibiting an incredible vase or sculpture. Possibilities are as endless as your imagination! The mirror represents the physical and spiritual self, the duality of good and evil, the concept of introspection, and they evoke emotion. Mirrors thus reflect truth in terms of spiritual symbolism. They represent reality… And the reality is… You know you need this table! It’s a simple decision… Just make it YOURS!!!!
