About the Item
Handsome organic modern rattan wicker side table or end table having a ½ inch thick glass top with an overhang. It is in very good vintage condition with no outstanding flaws we have detected. Please see photos, circa late 20th century.
We found this lovely little table and I knew at once we must get it to offer to you. It is not designed by some highly collectible designer, at least that we know, but it is very well made and has lots of style and pizazz. With a base made of a simple woven rattan wicker which includes a woven top, it could be used as is; but the maker has gone one step further and given it a substantial thick glass top. Both the base and the glass top have slightly curved sides I think you could call it a bowed rectangle. Just the right size for a cocktail or cup of coffee and it is easily movable from place to place. It’s the perfect little table for so many rooms, so many uses, and so many styles. Just make it yours.

Exotic, Incredible, and Ficks Reed!!! This is a fabulous rectangular end table by John Wisner for Ficks Reed. It is comprised of a stout rattan base, and it features a wonderful white tile top including three tiles with black painted Asian designs of fans and symbols… it’s absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! This end table is from Ficks Reed’s Far Horizons collection by John Wisner which was introduced in 1954. It is designed with sturdy and stylish crossbars with rattan ties on the corners on all four sides of the coffee table.
