About the Item
A dark lacquer-on-walnut veneer pedestal side table from a Hungarian atelier. The original design inspiration is French Art Deco. Many Hungarian Art Deco pieces are quite similar to French and Italian Art Deco designs. In fact, the Hungarians have been working with wood veneers and French Polish finishes since the Biedermeier era of the early 1800's.
