The Listeners by Patrick Coard Paris is a capsule collection of furniture pieces that are an ode and reflection to one of the artists most personal sculptures. The artist was inspired by the idea of resonance; what that means and how it can be felt. He embodied this concept of powerful energy echoing through the organic contours and amorphous shapes that are carried throughout the collection; the layers can be seen morphing into one another finding each their own unique expressions. These pieces whether placed together or placed separate truly bring to life a balance between art and design.
This listing is for the Listener Nesting Table I; an organic accent piece with his signature amorphous pattern hand carved in relief on the bronze patina base. The top draws closely into his inspiration for this collection , with the contoured metal lines inset within the cream shagreen inlay "vibrating" like music notes.

Patrick Coard Paris - an Irish/Scandinavian designer, first threw the gauntlet down with an awe inspiring collection of candles never seen before. Whilst the market has been saturated with scented candles he went back to basics of non-scented candles. He used his love of this aesthetic to be the first to bring out a collection of candles in shagreen and exotic skin textures, in beautifully hand carved patterns and sculptural shapes with metal inserts. His inspirations from sculptors from the 1930s and 1940s has created a modern collection in which one can utterly relax. From this he continued to explore his artistry by developing limited edition sculptures; ranging in jaw dropping sizes and shapes. His use of metal and his ability to manipulate and transform these materials into incredible organic forms exemplify his outstanding craftsmanship as a visionary artist. He continues to demonstrate his versatility by expanding into design, with capsule furniture collections that embody his limitless creativity with functionality.

R&Y Augousti
R&Y Augousti was founded in 1989 by husband-wife duo Ria & Yiouri Augousti. Their artistic backgrounds brought them together as innovators in their field by reviving the artisanal techniques of shagreen and other exotic materials that were predominant in the Art Deco period of the 1930s.
Through their mix of vintage and contemporary design their furniture and home accessories brand were met with worldwide praise. From a debut collection for the luxurious Hotel Crillon in Paris, to exclusive collections for luxury stores like Barneys New York & Bergdorf Goodman, they finally opened their flagship store on the famous Rue Du Bac in 7th arrondissement of Paris, France. From this they began to work closely with worldwide famous interior designers, architects and celebrities to create custom pieces for their homes and projects all within keeping to the Augousti universe.
Although shagreen is their signature DNA, R&Y Augousti are known as pioneers of pattern mixes of exotic materials of shagreen, shell, parchment, eel-skin, semi-precious stones, snakeskins and metal. Their stunning patterns are identifiable by their worldwide clientele. Continuing and honoring the heritage of Augousti, their daughter recently opened a showroom in New York called KIFU PARIS, that carries the R&Y Augousti collection, her fiancée’s sculptural candle collection- Patrick Coard Paris-, and her own furniture and home accessories.
