Set of Three Tubular Lucite and Nickel Side Tables or Nightstands, 1970s

About the Item

A stylish set of three 1970s tubular lucite and nickel side tables that also work great as end tables or nightstands. The set includes two lower tables at 15.5" tall which consists of one with clear glass and the other with smoked glass. And then a third table which stands taller at 21" high. This set is in the style of Charles Hollis Jones and often has been attributed to him. It is not signed, and is also in similar style to works by Karl Springer, Pace Collection by Leon Rosen and Lion in Frost. The glass can be replaced if desired, so that they are all clear or all smoked however they also work great with the current variation of glass tint. This set of three side tables in the style of Charles Hollis Jones would work great in a Post-Modern, Mid-Century Modern, Space Age Mod, Scandanavian Modern or Danish Modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a Contemporary or Zen / Minimalism room. Also consider mixing it up in a Traditional, Transitional, Hollywood Regency, Classical or Art Deco room with a splash of juxtaposition. Would also be an apt choice in a commercial project such as a hotel lobby lounge or members club, creative design studio or high-rise executive office. MEASUREMENTS: Pair of Lower Side Tables: H 15.5" x W 20" x D 20" Single Taller Side Table: H 21" x W 26" x D 20" CONDITION: Good vintage condition with light age, patina and wear. Glass and lucite have minor scratches. More noticeable patina on the inside of the metal clamps which can be partially visible through the lucite. Some light craquelure which does not affect use. Overall very attractive and presentable tables ready for immediate use.

Original Production John Dickinson Galvanized Steel Drape End Table, Signed
By John Dickinson
Located in Los Angeles, CA
This exceptionally rare and high-sought after collectors item is the John Dickinson model #107 drape end table with trompe-l'œil fabric motif in galvanized steel and brass binding. This piece of functional fine art is suited for a design collector, art investor or an interior designer looking to impress a hard-to-please client who wants nothing but the best of the best. This iconic 1970s American design by John Dickinson was later produced by Sutherland, and even the Sutherland examples have great worth and collectibility. But nothing compares to the originals, like this one. An interior steel frame with adjustable feet gives this table ample sturdiness and is suited for regular every-day use - but can also be used as an impressive stand-alone sculpture. Original John Dickinson pieces are exceptionally hard to find. This example of the galvanized steel trompe l'oeil draped tablecloth table...
