About the Item

New sculptural ceramic side table in the shape of a white sheep. The structure is made of steel and MDF board, clad with ceramic white tiles. This is a new piece from the collection of furniture pieces in the shapes of animals. There are two colors available- white and black. Taula Ovella White is made by the Barcelona-based studio Bussoga. A version for outside use can be produced on demand, ask a quotation. Bussoga’s work focuses on ceramic tiles, which they usually screen print to create all kinds of patterns. However, in this collection, they change their method and use smooth tile cladding to cover furniture, a technique that involves cutting flat ceramic pieces with pliers. In addition to traditional pliers, they also use diamond discs and tips to adjust the pieces. In 2024, the studio was selected to be part of an exhibition at the Madrid Design Festival along with other “rural designers.” Playing along with the idea of rurality, Bussoga started this collection of farm animals (pigs and sheep) that has continued to grow with other species, such as cows, sharks, and crocodiles. Bussoga, led by Irina Grosu and Josep Motas, is a design studio creating logically and freely in response to an unsustainable system. They blend mathematics, mural art, and ceramics with surrealism, collaborating with top brands. Updating tile folklore with contemporary language, they aim for democratic living, integrating social, political, and ecological ideas. Their work critiques capitalism and mass consumption, enriching the world through creativity, bridging tradition and innovation.

Zanotta Quaderna 656 Small Table in White Plastic Laminate by Superstudio
By Superstudio, Zanotta
Located in Brooklyn, NY
Zanotta Quaderna Small Table in White Plastic Laminate by Superstudio Honeycomb core structure coated with white plastic laminate, digitally printed with black squares at 1 3/16” spacing. What we are talking about here are the terrible kids of Superstudio. In other words, in a given time in history when everything had to be criticised and rethought, in a season when the Italian architecture was passionate and which is now a myth, a group of young students wished to change the world from Florence and definitely managed to leave their mark, at least in our world, the design world. They began with the ‘constant monument’ idea, which wrapped up everything such as a squared magma, continued with the ‘histogram of architecture’, which generated without any effort furniture and ambiences whose “Super-surface was a mental attitude model,” and then finally arrived at the ‘Super-idea’, which beats time with a constant regularity, deliberately written in black and white, conceptually revealed and theoretically closed, eventually generating the Quaderna collection, the most architectural items ever seen in the long history of furniture, which Aurelio Zanotta...
