Side table No.1 is handcrafted from pink tuff in a limited edition of 5, and comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity". The source is a collection of sculptural interior objects inspired by antiquity, architecture, craftsmanship, and history of Armenia – the studio co-founder’s native country. Each piece is carefully hand carved from tuff by the local stonemasons. Here, the intricate textures and vibrant colors of the volcanic rock are combined with the sharp angles and soft arches, inspired by the ancient architecture of Armenian churches and monasteries, telling long-forgotten stories of this land and reviving its material and traditional craft. This collection is an access point to the timeless source that lies around us and within us -- the sacred ancient knowledge and history, passed through centuries and generations. It asks questions about our past and invites us to understand the relationship between the surface level material and the story told underneath it. More than that, it inspires new beginnings and breathes life back into the oldest of designs and materials.
