R’kan edition partnered with Mohamed Abla to create ‘The story of us’, a series of delicately crafted glass tables which speak of togetherness. Each piece recites a different tale of our human interactions, yet they all seem to lead back to our connection with nature.
By pairing the figures with shapes resembling tree branches, the artists wanted to represent our interconnectedness and eternal bonding with the earth. To serve as a reminder that we are never alone, and our roots, just as those of a tree are found in our deepest bonds. Our passions, work and relationships nourish who we are and the way we interact.
