Havana Table 5 The wisdom of the gods meets the will of man in Studio Greytak’s Havana Table 5. Each prism within the frosted mountain of translucent quartz crystal at the base points skyward, drawing energy and guidance from the spiritual realm, the message amplified and broadcast by tiny, glittering mica crystals. A column of rich, oiled bronze emerges from this eternally frozen temple, its fire-forged presence harkening back to an age where courage and persistence meant the difference between life and death. Formed millions of years ago under extreme geologic pressure, quartz crystals often grow together in clusters. But their most amazing feature is their ability to convert mechanical energy into electricity and vice versa, a characteristic known as piezoelectricity. This amazing physical energy translates just as powerfully to the metaphysical world. Since antiquity, traditional healers have called quartz the “master healer” because it amplifies the power of other elements nearby and because it can be programmed by focusing intention upon it. This allows one to achieve virtually any goal. Clear quartz is a stone of light providing a clear path for higher vibrations from spiritual realms to the physical world. Named for the Latin word?micare?meaning “to glitter,” mica can be found on every continent. Paleolithic people used it for cave paintings, the Taos and Picuris Pueblo people added it to make their pottery more ethereal, and the Mayans added it to stucco in their most mystical of structures. Today, mica’s electrical properties are used in high-frequency radio transmissions that could one day call out to other galaxies. A stone of highly positive energies, it encourages belief in the future and stimulates clear and quick thinking and effective problem-solving. Ancient Sumerians used copper- and tin-rich rocks to build campfire rings. As the stones became heated, the metals melted and mixed, forming bronze, a world-changing metal. Bronze brought tools, weapons, armor, building materials, and a new sense of value to the ancient world. It is often associated with fire because of its reddish color. As an alloy of copper and tin, bronze takes on the properties of both but is generally thought to enhance courage and practicality and encourage focus on work. It is also thought to be good luck for warriors. Place this table in the study and revel in the dual forces of divine inspiration and worldly determination. Materials: Quartz Mica Oil rubbed bronze.
