Studio Made Side Table by Curtis Norton and Lewis Trimble
About the Item
This table is a collaboration between sculptor Curtis Norton and Ceramicist Lewis Trimble. The table is made of two sections, a nerikomi pottery top and a forged stainless steel base with stilleto polished stainless steel legs. The stoneware top is hollow and all the color on the top is from different color inlaid pieces of clay. The top has a commercial grade polyurethane coating as a protective layer so if it is ever scratched it can be refinished. The top rests in a handmade base constructed of stainless steel. Each leg is made using 4 pieces of cut, shaped and welded stainless steel and then ground smooth and polished to a mirror shine.
