About the Item
Stunning Swedish Stone Table 18th/19th century
The stone slab has been used as a grinding stone, once by traditional painters.
And the original grinding stone is truly remarkable.
Made of Swedish limestone, with a stunning thickness and a beautifully smooth surface.
The stone slab is most likely from Gotland and contains fossil inclusions.
It has a strong brutalist presence, mounted on a wooden log base from the late 20th century.
