About the Item
Slab table in solid elm, so called "Naturbord" by Carl-Axel Beijbom. Made by C-A Beijbom in 1976. Curved powerful legs and lovely live edge table top. Very good condition with light age related wear and patina.
Carl-Axel Beijbom was a self taught craftsman making heavy slab coffee tables mainly from elm but other hardwoods as well. Highly influenced by American crafts and modernism and the likes of George Nakshima he designed and made all his table on his in his own workshop. The tables are heavy and highly well made in terms of carpentry and the selection of material. This specific table is unusually large and heavy. An impressive statement piece in any interior.
