    This hand-carved oak Louis XIII style dessert buffet from the late nineteenth century features carvings on three sides. Rosettes adorn the die joints, and grapes and grape leaves embellish the drawer fronts. A shell and leaf motif lends additional detailing to the beveled edge of its top. Its top lifts up to reveal a white marble surface where desserts were displayed and is held in place with two hinged supports. Standing on classic Louis XIII barley twist legs that rest on ball feet, this piece features dovetailed drawers with hand carved pulls as well as two lower levels for additional display space.
