18th Century Hardwood Trestle Tavern Table

About the Item

Late 17th or Early 18th century hardwood top Tavern table having a magnificent traditional form. The table has two later hand-fashioned Oak extension boards and an arched and sinuous iron stretcher. The table with planked boards and triple turned trestle legs all exhibiting a fine age patina. Dimensions: 41" x 64" x 29 3/4" H; extensions - 9 1/2" W each Condition: Please see detail photos. The later added leaves are somewhat darker than the table top. There are various enhancing signs of great age including finish and wood loss to the trestles and old stains, scratches and work marks to the table top and leaves which do not detract from the authentic rustic presentation.
