18th Century Swedish Baroque Occasional Table with New Honed Granite Top
About the Item
A Swedish Baroque table from the 18th century with newer honed granite top. This Baroque occasional table from Sweden features a honed marble top which rests upon a robust wood frame having a nicely molded skirt, and legs, one at each corner, carved with wonderful bulbous shaped centers, terminating onto round feet. The four legs are supported with a wooden box-stretcher which runs along the bottom perimeter. The marble top is a later addition. The wood is deliciously rustic, patina reflecting it's long history. This 18th century Swedish Baroque table would work perfectly in a living room, study, or perhaps in a kitchen as additional work space.

Italian Baroque carved gilt and lacquered wood center table, 18th century
This particular center table is made of golden and lacquered in ochre finely carved wood with rich floral decorations. The band below the top has a perforated ornament with volutes, phytomorphic elements and rocaille taste, characteristic of the Louis XV era. The legs are arched and moved with curly foot.
