This is an antique cartographer's folio table. An English, mahogany lift over library table or desk, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800.
Rare and unusual, this fascinating table presents a fine appearance and versatility
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
Select stocks show fine grain interest and deep russet hues
Dressed with faux drawer fascia, with a pair of useful drawers to the leading edge
Of great proportion, the top opens to one end on brass hinges
The fold over top can be held securely upon an articulated rest arm
Each drawer fascia dressed with a pair of turned pulls and inset brass lined locks — key absent
Attractive tapering turned legs ride smoothly upon a quartet of brass castors
