Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this exquisite, hand made in England, William & Mary style circa 1840-1860 Seaweed Marquetry single drawer table or desk on a fruitwood frame which has been lightly restored

This is an exquisite and very important table, the top, which is a real tour de force of craftsmanship, is of course made up of fine cuts of Seaweed Marquetry, this table is a work of art, it looks exactly what it is from every angle, expensive, sophisticated and charming!
It is based on a William & Mary design which dates back over 300 years, this is approximately 160 to 180 years old so it has some good age to it.
Condition wise we have deep cleaned, hand condition waxed and hand polished it from top to bottom, there will be normal age and use related patina marks here and there

Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
