Constantin Table by Jiří Krejčiřík

About the Item

Constantin table by Jirí Krejcirík Dimensions: 87 x 87 x 42 cm Material: steel alloys The tables entitled Odyssey and Kalokagathos represent the dialogue between the aesthetics of ancient Greece and the aesthetics of Slovene architect Josip Plecnik's kivork. I view him as the archetype of a timeless personality, an artist and a visionary who, in his late oeuvres, significantly reflected upon various classical influences. The presented coffee tables are part of the ECLECTICISM collection, in which I pursue the relation between history and the present. Every piece from the collection is loosely inspired by a particular style or a movement from the past, and simultaneously, refers to a singular personality closely linked with the given era. Porto Center Table, by RAIN, Contemporary Center Table, Laminated Oakwood
By RAIN
Located in Sao Paulo, SP
Porto low tables are composed of a circular top that seems to rest on a sturdy oblong base. Lightness and weight overlap creating a harmonic and unconventional monoblock. The unagreement between the geometry of the elements generates irregular pieces capable of evoking movement, as they elude the gaze, changing according to the viewing angle. The tables give continuity to the Porto collection, whose inspiration comes from the weight and scale...
