French 19th Century Tortoise Shell Table with Boulle Marquetry

About the Item

This beautiful French table from the 19th Century is curved with an oval shape. Inlaid with marquetry to the top, edges and along the legs. The table is made of ebonized wood featuring gilt bronze mounts. The legs are of cabriole form and feature gilt bronze feet and caryatids to the upper edge. The sides have a gilt bronze face on the center. One side is a drawer with a key. The tabletop is rimmed with gilt bronze mounts. Dimensions: 31"H x 57"W x 36"D
