This is an exquisite and very important table, it came to me very faded with significant marks to the top from honest age and use, I gave it to my restorer with the request that he find the original colour and to bring it back to life which I think he has done with style. The table has been sympathetically washed back and French polished from the ground up
The top, which is a real tour de force of craftsmanship, is of course made up of fine cuts of Seaweed Marquetry, this table is a work of art, it looks exactly what it is from every angle, expensive, sophisticated and charming!
This table as mentioned has been fully restored, the idea being to retain all the original patina and charm whilst pulling out the period colours, it is in as fine a condition as you could hope to find a 300+ year old piece

Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description around condition
Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of cracking creasing and wear, we recommend regular waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
