About the Item

B-150 Table, in extrusioned aluminium with natural oak legs. Designed by Konstantin Grcic in 2021, manufactured by BD Barcelona. Konstantin Grcic opened the Extrusions collection with the Table B, in 2009. Grcic has been inspired by classic BD pieces, such as the Hypóstila shelf unit (in production since 1979), in developing a tabletop of extruded aluminium with a minimal profile and for lengths of up to 500 cm. Now the family grows with the Big Table B, same concept, same design, but with a wider top, 150 cm. Available in various finishes, in silver anodized aluminium; or laminated in a simil oak or in colour. Its apparent simplicity hides a complex technical development in which senior engineers have been involved. In counterpoint, the production also includes several manual processes. The result is a highly crafted piece with all the character of the German designer. Materials: Tabletop in extrusioned aluminium with open ends cut at 45º. There is the option of the surface being laminated in a natural oak effect with a varnished finish. Legs in natural oak coated in transparent water-based varnish. About the designer: Born in Munich in 1965?1985-1987. Known for pared-down pieces, Grcic is often called a minimalist but the designer himself prefers to speak of simplicity.
