Louis XV Style Ormolu Tulipwood Music Cabinet by Linke Louis XV Style Jasper Top Ormolu Mounted Tulipwood & Mahogany Casier a musique by Francoise Link, Circa 1903 Signed F. Linke in script, on the right side of the right chute, the top of the right door impressed with the number 7440, and stamped Linke beneath the lock plate of the door. The brown and white striated jasper top above an open shelved compartment, the back board veneered with cube parquetry above a pair of doors inlaid with floral marquetry. The whole mounted with ormolu borders, chutes and sabots. The offered lot is referenced and illustrated, Christopher Payne, Francoise Linke, 1855-1946, 'The Belle Epoque of French Furniture,' pp. 60-61, fig. 482, Antique Collector's Club, 2003. (sketch book page, multiple illustrations of cabinet, signature and number). Measures: Height 46 in., Width 21 in., Depth 16 1/2 in.
