Tea Table Model "Mesage" by François Linke

About the Item

"MESAGE" model tea table by François Linke (1855-1946). The upper tier is oval with handles and a removable glass tray supported by four cherubic tritons. The lower level has parquet inlays with linear diamonds and gilt bronze handles on each side centered by a seashell and each leg has waterfalls lined on all sides with bronze, finished in a beautiful sabot. Support on a glass tray signed F. Linke. We can see this table on pages 182-183 and similar on pages 94-95, in "François Linke 1855-1946 The Belle Epoque of French Furniture" by Christopher Payne. Signed F. Linke France, circa 1890.
