About the Item

The Table Massive, designed by Charlotte Besson Oberlin in 2025, embodies the strength and elegance of ash, a noble wood with subtle grain and warm hues. Its minimalist yet imposing design, with clean lines and a generous tabletop, gives it a striking presence while maintaining refinement. The balance between robustness and lightness makes this piece a true functional work of art. Perfect for modern inte- riors, it combines aesthetics and practicality with great simplicity. A tribute to the natural beauty of ash, enhanced by meticulous craftsmanship. about the designer Charlotte Besson-Oberlin’s experience and taste for sober, pure design were honed at the Christian Liaigre design office, where she spent 11 years working all over the world, first as an interior designer, then as head of furniture design. From these years, she retains a rigorous approach to execution, a taste for noble materials, a concern for perfect finishes and a constant search for the best design for each customer. Charlotte Besson-Oberlin created dix9mai to add her own personality to this invaluable background, and to offer a design with clean lines and unexpected touches that never freeze the decor.

By Maxime Old
Located in Paris, FR
This dining table is a contemporary edition of the Apparat table, originally designed by the famous designer Maxime Old in 1956. It was made for the Salon du Palais of the Halle aux toiles in Rouen, and its central part opens to accommodate planters. The Anne Jacquemin Sablon gallery presents a contemporary edition of the Apparat table, characterized by its X-shaped brushed oak compass base and satin sycamore top.
