A sound that reminds a shape, a name that speaks for itself: S Table, in which the liquid consonant perfectly tells about the twisted S-shaped stand of this table designed by Xavier Lust. The creations of award-winning designer actually stand out for the visible tension he gives to his objects, featuring curves inspired by the (de)formation process of metallic surfaces that identifies his whole creative path.
The stand, moulded either in Ceramilux or in Cristalplant, technologically advanced, hypoallergenic and non-toxic material, can be crowned by different types of top – in crystal, in wood fiber, marble, in reconstructed stone or in Cristalplant – to further customise an already unique object.
This design table’s communication strength is remarkable, in any kind of space.
BASES
CRISTALPLANT® BASE
It is a unique highlyadvanced composite material made up of a high percentage of natural minerals (ATH derived from bauxite) and a small percentage of extremely pure polyester and acrylic polymers; thus it is an inert hypoallergenic and non-toxic material. CRISTALPLANT® is a 100% made-in-Italy solid surface and is 100% recyclable.
CERAMILUX® BASE
It is a material composed of natural minerals (calcium carbonates and aluminium trihydrates) and polyester resin. The gelcoat film coating the surface of the material is made of a highly-resistant acrylate polyester.
RECONSTRUCTED STONE
It is obtained from a blend of mineral powders that have been micronized and mixed with liquid acrylic and water-based products, giving it a material essence. The finishes are applied manually with a palette knife over the
entire surface of the table, creating a one-of-a-kind texture that characterises each and every product, both to the eye and to the touch. Finishes: Reconstructed stone white calce and black slate.

The Belgian designer and sculptor Xavier Lust signs Fossil for MDF Italia, an eclectic furnishing accessory that can be used as a low table. A highly versatile design for a family of elements, revisited with more rounded, fluid lines. Built in lightweight concrete, it is suitable for use both indoors and outside, sporting a delicate, neutral finish echoing the nuances of an organic, natural universe.
Cement UHPFRC (ultra-high performance fibre-reinforced cement) with cutting-edge technical/structural properties. A fundamental characteristic of the components is mass colouration. The finish and colour of the table bases is the result of a skilled mixture of sand and natural elements.
Together with the slow maturation and drying given to each piece, this allows countless subtle shades to be obtained. The combination of this particular material and the maturation process, which is affected by weather changes, may result in visual irregularities in the design and in the colour.
The subtle shades and the lack of uniformity in surface and colour are to be considered unique properties enhancing the value of the piece.
