About the Item
Table designed by Umberto Mascagni of Bologna in the 1950s. The structure is in solid European wood, covered in cream and black colored vinyl, with anodized aluminum. Table usable both as a dining table and as a study table, excellent vintage condition! This extravagant table is an interesting example of midcentury Italian design. In 1952 Umberto Mascagni created a new way of producing furniture using new materials such as PVC and anodized aluminum. This was challenging considering the market at the time. His furniture was sold by Harrod's, London, 1952-1955.
