21st Century Taurus Table, Solid Macrocarpa wood, Resin, Hebanon, Made in Italy
By Hebanon Studio, Hebanon Fratelli Basile
Located in Nocera Superiore, Campania
Taurus is the first design of the Matariki capsule, a collection of three extraordinary tables in solid Macrocarpa wood and resin: from New Zealand a new wood for Hebanon projects. Identity Matariki in the Maori language indicates both the Pleiades (stars of the constellation Taurus) and the beginning of a new season, a new year. Literally Matariki means reflection, hope, connection with the environment but also a gathering of people. We were therefore inspired by the geometry and meanings of the Taurus constellation...

Gio Ponti Round Coffee Table in Walnut Wood Italian Manufacture 1950s
By Gio Ponti
Located in Montecatini Terme, IT
Round coffee table realized in walnut wood with metal details, the tabletop presents an elegant circular decorative motif. Attribuited to Gio Ponti, Italian manufacturer from the 1950s Gio Ponti was an icon of the modernist movement: the Italian designer, architect, artist and publisher contributed significantly to the worlds of architecture and design with his extensive work in fine furniture and ceramics, education, office and residential buildings, and everything in between. Giovanni, known as Gio Ponti was born in 1891 in Milan. It was there that he spent his childhood, and in 1921 he began to study architecture at the Politecnico di Milano. From 1923 to 1930 he served as the artistic director of the Richard-Ginori porcelain factory. In 1927, Ponti started his first architectural office, together with Emilio Lancia, and in 1928 he started the magazine Domus, which is still regarded as one of the most influential European magazines for architecture and design. He was also very influential during the period as a curator of the Milan Triennale. After his collaboration with Emilio Lancia had come to an end, upon completion of the Torre Rasini, he began to work as an architect together with the engineers Antonio Fornaroli and Eugenio Soncini...

Ico Parisi Olimpino Table by Cassina
By Ico Parisi, Cassina
Located in Barcelona, Barcelona
Table designed by Ico Parisi in 1955, relaunched in 2020. Manufactured by Cassina in Italy. Designed in 1955, the design of this table – a piece of furniture considered by Ico Parisi to be a central element in the home - accompanies the Maestro’s career and evolves with different materials. The Olimpino table has a slender, bold and recognisable square section tubular metal frame made of two pairs of "Y" shaped uprights, whose upper inner arms converge to join under the top, while the outer arms diverge to block the rectangular plate of the top, in monolithic tempered glass, with a brass side stopper. The legs, thus paired, are strengthened with a double crossbar, also in metal, which opens near the sides and forms a double "V" shape. The solid wood arrow...

19th Century Pietra Dura Marble Giltwood Table
Located in London, by appointment only
Important Palatial & Rare 19th Century Pietra Dura Giltwood Centre Table. This magnificent rectangular table incorporates an exquisitely inlaid Florentine Pietra Dura work of art. The truly incredibly and colourful hardstone specimens have been meticulously chosen & inlaid to form the most gorgeous floral display. It is amongst the finest of its type. This masterpiece is displayed on its original carved work of sculptural art, a baluster stem with acanthus leaves and raised on four acanthus leaf scrolled feet, the gilding, burnished in parts to perfection and highlighting a palatial majesty. The art of creating images by cutting hardstones and fitting them into a jigsaw of shapes, flowered under the Florentine Medici and is known as Pietra Dura. The technique of Pietra Dura is highly prized and widely used and can be found in settings ranging from antique jewellery boxes to the walls of the Taj Mahal. The development of the technique, often called ‘painting in stone’ was one of the many achievements of the Florentine Renaissance. Like many other forms of antique decorative art...
